Meet Jacob
Jacob spent his childhood in nearby El Dorado County, earned a MA in Economics from CSU Sacramento, and then settled down to raise a family in Placer County 16 years ago. He and his wife, Christy, have raised two graduates from Placer County schools (LHS Fighting Zebras) and have a third son currently enrolled at Whitney High School. Jacob's mother also taught Art at Rocklin elementary schools for many years before her retirement. His connection to Placer County is long and deep.
Jacob already has the experience and knowledge to get started on the Rocklin Unified school board. He served as a trustee for the Maria Montessori Charter Academy in Rocklin for four years. Two of those years were served as the Vice President and another year as the President of the board. As a public charter school, the decisions and challenges faced relate to those of the Rocklin Unified School District. With his educational background, Jacob brought knowledge, questions, and a perspective that helped to enable the school to twice earn California Distinguished School awards.
Jacob believes in community service and active engagement with educational programs. He has pitched in during numerous fundraisers, helped at many school events, and volunteered many times for the WatchDOGS (Dads of Great Students) which brings male role models into the classroom to help staff and the students for a full day at a time.

Jacob's commitment to our kids is inspiring hope and change in our community.
